Join the ninth #NoWrongPath campaign: this time running for a whole week
The highly anticipated ninth annual #NoWrongPath campaign, organised by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), is on for a full week this year, running from Monday 4 to Friday 8 August.
This award-winning social media movement is designed to provide vital inspiration and reassurance to young people across Scotland as they receive their exam results, demonstrating that success can be found through diverse and often unconventional career journeys.
This year’s Results Day is Tuesday 5 August, but rather than focusing on just one day, you can involved any time during the week of 4-8 August, giving you more time to take part in this worthwhile campaign.
And we are specifically calling on our incredible Scottish Food & Drink Ambassadors to play a pivotal role in this year's campaign.
Your unique career paths within Scotland's vibrant food and drink sector are powerful testaments to the #NoWrongPath message. Many young people may feel disheartened by their results or current circumstances, and your stories can show them that a straight, obvious or traditional route isn't the only way to achieve a fulfilling career.
Share your journey with us and inspire the next generation
We're encouraging all Scottish Food & Drink Ambassadors to join in and share their experiences. Your real-life stories illustrate the wealth of opportunities available in our industry.
And if you've participated in previous #NoWrongPath campaigns, we'd love you to share your old content with us (Scottish Food & Drink Ambassadors). This valuable archive of journeys can be re-shared to amplify the message and provide even more examples of success.
Three ways to get involved this year
Whether you're a seasoned #NoWrongPath participant or new to the campaign, there are three simple yet impactful ways you can contribute from 4-8 August:
Share your career journey with a photo or template
Write your name, what you did when you left school, and what you do now.
You can download and print the #NoWrongPath 2025 template from the DYW website and post a photo of yourself holding it.
No printer? No problem! A handwritten note, a selfie, or a video that reflects your journey works just as well.
Record a short video or reel
If you're comfortable in front of the camera, create a brief video or reel sharing your career story. This can be done individually or with colleagues.
Write a status update, post or blog article
Share your career story in written form, detailing your journey and highlighting how you got to where you are today, even (especially) if it wasn't a linear path.
Remember to include the hashtag #NoWrongPath in all your posts to ensure visibility within the campaign!
